EASA Dean Boštjan Marko Turk at Liberty Echoes in Washington, D.C
Professor Boštjan Marko Turk, Dean of Class I (Humanities) of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), participated as an EASA representative in the international seminar Liberty Echoes, organized in Washington, D.C., by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Professor Turk was a speaker on the panel dedicated to the global influence of the Declaration of Independence, where he presented a lecture examining the relationship between the American tradition of liberty and the contradictions of Marxist theory. The event brought together distinguished historians, political scientists, scholars, and university professors from the United States and abroad.
During the seminar, Professor Turk also established valuable academic contacts with leading scholars in the humanities from several of the well known American universities, who were among the event's featured speakers. These new connections create opportunities for future international academic cooperation and further strengthen EASA's presence within the global humanities community.
