FOUNDING of a GLOBAL PEACE OFFENSIVE CENTER in Maribor
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), Alma Mater Europaea University (AMEU) and the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) founded the Global Peace Offensive Centre based in Maribor on their initiative. At the ceremony, the partners signed the official founding document, thereby officially establishing the centre as one of the most important platforms for dialogue and cooperation at a global level.
In his speech, President Mainzer emphasised that the European Academy of Sciences and Arts brings together comprehensive expertise from various fields: „It is precisely this diversity that allows us to contribute valuable perspectives to the quest for global peace. In the future, scientists will play a key role in analyzing conflicts around the world, as conflict resolution requires an interdisciplinary approach characteristic of our Academy. At the same time, we recognize that scientific analysis alone is not enough. A commitment to peace is needed – a commitment that concerns all people, not just academics.
