DILIGENTISSIMUS ANTIQUITATIS INVESTIGATOR
The Journal "Kačić" from Split (Croatia) decided to publish several documents, articles, reviews and some of laudatio offered in a series of presentations of the Papers in Honour of Professor Emilio Marin and to gather them in a "Sonderheft" as it occurred for the first Festschrift for Emilio Marin published by the Journal and edited by fra Hrvatin Gabrijel Jurišić in 2011, a Sonderheft in 2012. The present Festschrift is published by Catholic University of Croatia in 2022. Since 2011 Emilio Marin has been a full professor in the Department of History.
In Salzburg the presentation occurred on the Web site of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. In Paris at the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres. To those two seats pledged the membership of Emilio Marin in the relatives academies. In Ljubljana the presentation occurred at the Alma Mater University as Marin was recently elected professor at the Doctoral school of that University. Obviously the most exhausted one was held in Zagreb at the Catholic University where Marin served also as vice-president for international relations and where the floor was given also to a representative of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs while Marin served as ambassador of Croatia to the Holy See, as well as to an archaeologist from the Archaeological museum in Split where Marin was based for more than 30 years. Exactly because of that, a presentation was organised also in Split, Marin's native town. On both occasions some members of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts took the floor and for that one in Split also a member of the Institut de France, Académie des Sciences, as well as a representative of the president of the University of Split. On the nearby island of Brač, where is Marin's summer residence in the port of Pučišća, a full of sympathy gathering was remembered. Eventually, the Embassy of Croatia to the Holy See organised at the Teutonico Collegio in Rome/Vatican a conclusion academic festivity, where several major exponents of Roman archaeology and history offered their considerations on the rich scientific contributions published in the Festschrift by numerous scholars from many countries. The speakers included Polish, French, Italians, on behalf of the Universities, Institutes, Museums and Academies. The French ambassador in Croatia payed a tribute to Marin's relations with France. The Dean of the College of Cardinals contributed to the solemnization of the venture.
