First Announcement 

The Danube Academies Conference (DAC) is a recurring forum organized by the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) and regional partners such as national academies, focusing on scientific development, environmental issues, and research cooperation in the Danube region. Since 2011, the Danube conferences have highlighted topics like the European Green Deal (Discussions on sustainable transport, circular economy, and climate neutrality) and Science Diplomacy (Strengthening the voice of science in Central and Eastern Europe through cooperation).

In the past and running new century, the countries along the Danube river and former Yugoslavia had made experiences with conflicts and wars.

What can we learn from these experiences, to shape a peaceful future locally, regionally, and globally?

Each participant is entitled to deliver a 15-minute presentation.

The deadline for abstract submission (max. 200 words) is September 15, 2026
